Dr. Pang joined the School of Safety Science as Research Associate in Nov 2007, working on an Australian Research Council’s (ARC) Linkage Partnership project, investigating the performance and effectiveness of pedal and motor cycle helmets in crashes.

Prior to joining the School, Pang worked for Advea Engineering Pty. Ltd. and Autoliv Pty. Ltd as Project/Support Engineer and Simulation Engineer respectively. He has several years experience working in a number of areas including side and frontal restraint development, optimization of the airbag and seatbelt system and computer modelling.

Pang holds a Masters degree in Road Safety Engineering and a PhD in the field of Spine Biomechanics. He has several years experience in the real-world crash investigation, collecting data and conduction analyses for the Road Safety Research Centre (RSRC) in Malaysia. His current research interest includes computer modelling, injury biomechanics, road safety, and injury prevention.
