Peter has recently started his PhD research investigating the human factor issues, for example, vigilance, situation awareness and mental workload, associated with various levels of train driving automation. He will also investigate what impact these human factor issues will have on driver performance, in terms of driving safety and reliability.

Peter's unpublished Honours thesis was titled "Is there a Dual-task Cross-modal Patient Monitoring advantage, when using Blood Pressure Earcons during Surgical Procedures."
