In 1980 I was employed by the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF) as an aircraft maintenance engineer. I worked on several types of aircraft that the RBAF possesses ( both rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft ). When I was promoted to senior staff positions I held administrative positions in RBAF HQ responsible for the Quality Assurance Program, Accident Investigation Teams, and responsible for the procurement of tools, spare parts, equipment and maintenance services necessary for the continued operation of the RBAF aircraft fleet. Currently I am being sponsored by the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) to complete a PhD program in Safety Science.

The research topic is Understanding, identifying and managing aviation maintenance errors and failures in the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF) .
